Rosie's Pet Sitting has been in business since 1998. We are a mother and daughter business. We serve most of Lake and Geauga counties in Ohio. Have a wonderful vacation knowing your pets are secure, fed, safe and sound where they feel best...their own home. A little background on us. We have always had animals from cats and dogs to hamsters and lizards. Growing up my mom raised and bred Cocker Spaniels for many years. I worked for a vet as a vet assistant for many years where I learned how to give shots to animals and I helped with the surgeries. We love all types of animals dearly and are thrilled that we get to take care of and play with many different types of animals. My mom Rosemary has two dogs a cocker spaniel and a shitzu. She has 4 cats also. I have two pugs which you can see in the picture at the bottom of the page. I also have 2 cats We specialize in taking very good care of your pets. We feed and pamper them and look out for their well being.Your pet will enjoy staying home knowing that someone who cares for them is going to come over to play each day! We are bonded and insured. We primarily take care of dogs and cats but do other small animals too. Also for the busy professionals we do offer a mid-day dog walk.Our mid-day dog walks are done between the hours of 11-3PM only.

Getting Started

A few suggestions to keep in mind.

Plan Ahead

Make your pet sitting reservations as early as possible!

Holidays and summer can be quite busy, so let us know as soon as you can when you will be away. You can call at (440) 478-6297. If you are new to us please call at least two weeks prior to your leaving to schedule your free consultation so we can get established with you and get all the important information that we need. Please provide us with an extra key if you have one on hand or you can have one made, but be sure to try it out first. Buy extra food, litter and supplies in case your gone longer than anticipated. And, if your dog is not used to walking on a leash, please practice with him before we sit, if you'd like us to walk him when you're away.

Pet's Profile

We will need to know the routines in your pet's day, his special toys, his hiding places and his medicines and special foods. We will meet with you and fill out a contract telling us all about your pets that we will keep on file for our visits. We want to keep you pets healthy and happy!

When you leave

In one general area, leave the pets food, leash and medicine. If we are visiting after dark, please leave a light on. Its safe for us and nice for your pet too. Let us know the phone numbers of the places you'll be staying in case of emergencies. We will already have the information on hand about your vet and what to do in case of pet emergencies.

Returning

Earlier than expected : please give us a call to let us know you'll be home and we'll revise our schedule. No emails please as we always do not have access to our email call and leave a voicemail no matter what time of day. This way we will be sure to get it.

Later than expected : we need to arrange for additional visits for your pets. Please let us know as soon as possible that your trip will be extended. Also please no emails, give us a phone call no matter the time of day and leave a voicemail. We will return your call ASAP.
